Tromso Cathedral

I was born in Tromso in 1932 and baptized at Tromso Cathedral in July by Bishop Eivind Berggrav. I emmigrated to the US in November with my parents and did not return until spring, 2001. I subsequently visited again the summer of 2003. I have many family members still living in Tromso and look forward to visiting again, hopefully summer of 2005. Needless to say, my visits have been very emotional. My paternal grandfather was born in Tromso and my maternal grandmother was born in Tonsvik, (her home still stands on the shore). During both my visits, I attended services at the cathedral and met with the assistant pastor on both occasions.

I am retired and reside in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin.
