Banner Ideas

I. The Big Picture:

The Banner Ideas application enables a site to serve generalized advertisements having no limitation on the amount of text-based introductory information to that advertisement and no limitation on the size of images associated with that advertisement. Advertisements can be served based on keywords in content of the page being viewed, can be used to redirect users to other areas of the website with which they aren't yet familiar, or simply served up in random fashion. The application also provides for the logging and retrieval of advertisement clickthrough statistics.

  • Serves random internal advertisements
  • Logs clickthrough statistics for these internal advertisements
